The Academy of International Trade Law , based in Macau and organized by the Institute of European Studies of Macau since year 2000, aims at providing education and training at the highest international standard on the law of international trade, the WTO and selected issues of regional integration regimes such as the NAFTA, EU, Mercosur and ASEAN. The course takes place during two weeks in July and follows a model similar to the Academy of European Law , in Florence , and to the Academy of International Law , in The Hague . Its teachers are invited from the leading experts in the world. The Academy fills a gap in international legal education and, although especially devised for governmental staff, particularly in Asian countries, it also provides a unique opportunity of
