Excluding relays, the EIC network currently consists of 253 EICs, 11 Network Co-ordinators, 24 Associate Members and 16 EICCs. As a relay of IAPMEI's Euro-Info Centre in Lisbon, EIC-Macau has access to the Euro-Info Centre network in the European Union. This close link with our colleagues in Europe ensures that we can easily assist enterprises in obtaining the best and most up to date information on EU issues, legislation and business contacts in the various EU member states. In fact, the Euro-Info Centre of IAPMEI is linked to a dynamic network of contact points. In order to enhance information exchange, EIC-Macau has signed co-operation agreements with several business intermediary bodies and information centres in China. EIC-Macau´s China-information network currently covers Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Shenzhen, Zhaoqing, Zhengzhou, Shenyang and Beijing . In the near future, this network will be expanded to cover other provinces and cities throughout China. Through these co-operative relations, economic and trade information as well as details on co-operation opportunities in mainland China can be exclusively transmitted to the European Union and vice versa. Since the establishment of Euro-Info Centre, Macau in 1992, we have experienced the significance of building co-operative networks with other information institutes in other parts of the world. In China , we have already established a massive information network in several important cities; we now perceive the needs for our centre to build a much closer link with other Asia-Invest Antenna in Asia . Through this co-operative relationship, we can certainly exchange experience on our work and share more updated information in pursuit to giving more valued-added quality services to the SMEs. In the coming years, we will go further to devoting more of our concentration on the development of this network of Asia-Invest Antenna in the Asian region. |
